SAMSUNG Galaxy Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition

I am very skeptical about Korean products (-_-) zzz... To my surprise, my first smartphone of the social media frenzy era and my first THEMED one too is ironic! However I think this time round it is different. With its OS (Operating System) being USA and theme Japanese, these make it a tri-national mobile :-O This is value for money. It is the same price as the standard model. I purchased this mainly for the Hello Kitty theme and Android OS. With reference to my posting some time ago on smart phone OS (http://charlesespckman.blogspot.com/2012/08/smart-choice-in-smart-mobile.html), it turned out quite the opposite. As a beginner and business user, I think Android is fine too. Maybe I am NOT fully reliant on my mobile for business hence it meets my requirements. One downside to this mobile is its too small internal memory. So, limited apps (applications) to play with. Fortunately, there is just enough space for apps that I am using J Besides that, I believe this will be a collectors' item in near future! All gals, enjoy!

Pelangbow, over the rainbow...((( for X'mas 2012!

Pelangbow Illustration Board

Pelangbow Sketch (F) - Inspired by rain and its aftermath, the rainbow. These three colour bands are refracted the most, hence their selection out of seven colours.

Pelangbow Sketch (R) - Pelangi is rainbow in Malaysian language. The name fuses both worlds in fashion!

After more than a dozen rainbow and rain inspired designs, this is my average client's winning choice. She choose this for the colours, spirals and unique sleeves. I am proud :-) This is also my illustration naming day, AMANDA...well, what a coincidence! I am made to serve fashion :-O Now that my design is complete for this season's greetings, you can party in this gloomy X'mas 2012 weather in full vibrancy.

Now you have a reason NOT to flee this weather...

Have a Holly Jolly X'mas & New Year!

TAKEN 2 SKYFALL: A double review

Taken 2

Fashion is ruled out here. I will make this short. This movie is about action and drama. It also reminds us that we can hone our skills and senses without the use of technologies. That is how animals migrate and we being GPS dependent for our mobility. We have already lost our sense of time. Let us not lose our sense of direction as well. Go watch it to get what I mean and happy viewing... J

Skyfall 007

Since DANIEL CRAIG took the helm of 007, I was NOT impressed. Gone are the days of PIERCE BROSNAN and his suave style. With minimum gadgets, fashion and the absence of a Bond car, this is definitely a downfall. Maybe this is a new concept which is not my expectations. This time round, the 50th Anniversary James Bond franchise have mega disappointed me. Even the website is lack of visual downloads. The plot is not new and reminiscent of ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, where ‘information is mightier than the sword’. Have the production lost its creativity? For fans who want all those mentioned, use your money elsewhere. For die-hard fans like me, go catch it and share your disappointment, if you have... L

Mascots in my life!

I hate the London 2012 logo and did not look forward to this event. However, their mascots hypnotised me with its massive eye! They make me look at this event from a different view. It has made up my love with London 2012. I enjoyed this event very much with the Closing Ceremony as its climax. With a story behind its design and inspiration for a legacy (and me too), I am happy to support and be part of the 30th Olympiad. Welcome to my life Wenlock and Mandeville and be on a lookout for me ;-)

I was sent my old order and given an uninformed out of stock refund! Mandeville key ring is low quality :-( Better wrong than nothing at all, right? True. Appealing for the correct order now. Will wait patiently if I can purchase more Wenlock and Sports Collection Coins! Will keep you posted ;-)

Special Edition Wenlock Figurine, front view (top) and side view (bottom)

Finally, my second batch of Wenlocks, Mandeville and Sports Collection 50p Coins has arrived in class! I purchased these from a toy company because London 2012 Shop has closed. Surprisingly, they arrived by DHL carrier services. They (souvenirs) are a lucky lot! These complete my London 2012 collection, I think... I really miss London 2012... ToT

I guess from my obsession with these mascots, you know them by now. Classic Figurines, front view (top) and side view (bottom) respectively

Evil, Dark and Violent Resident

Simplicity in title description! ADA WONG is the ONLY character that brings fashion to life and afterlife! I watched this out of boredom. It is money's worth if the title is your expectation and taste. If it is not, then have a lie-in.

Lady in red (NOT blood), ADA WONG, the fashion and life of this movie...

...and lastly, a mutated pet for your companion. Enjoy...

Doraemon 100 years before birth Celebrations ;-)

Born in the year 2112 and sent to change the past to a better Nobita's future, we are celebrating Doraemon's 100 years before birthday in 2012!

I wish I had a pet that has problem solving solutions. Happy Birthday Doraemon and see you in 2112!

Fashiolympic 2 / Fashioville

With the start of Paralympics two days ago, the party and fun starts all over! Inspired by Mandeville, the Paralympics mascot, this is better than the first. With the addition of metallic silver, I want to raise the profile and add more glitter to this unfairly underrated event. Now, the Victory Ceremony Uniform is more significant. What do you think?

5 everyday habits that ruin your looks
Remedies and solutions to each and every beauty dilemma
RealBuzzRealBuzz – Fri, Aug 24, 2012 09:00 BST
There are lots of things we do every single day that ruin our looks, from washing our hair to talking to our friends. To make sure you stay looking pretty, fresh-faced and perfect, check out this list and make sure you don’t do any of these habits that ruin your appearance. If you do find some of your habits on this list, we’ll also give you remedies and solutions to each and every beauty dilemma.

http://l1.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/dTF.Ny9s_y8x_FG8P953Aw--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTMxNQ--/http:/l.yimg.com/os/401/2012/08/24/habits-ruin-looks-jpg_120747.jpg
Avoid bad habits ruining your looks
Everyday habit that ruins your looks: Sleeping
Although every princess needs her beauty sleep, sleeping could be causing your skin to age unnecessarily.  The problem with sleeping is not the process itself (or those scary dreams where you kiss that hideous colleague of yours). The problem lies with your pillowcase. Surprisingly your pillowcase can draw moisture away from you and this can age skin. It can also leave unattractive lines over your face.
To combat your pillowcase problem dermatologists recommend you invest in a silk pillow cover. Silk contains amino acids, similar to those found in our moisturisers, so when we rest our heads for the night our skin is not losing any essential moisture. Problem solved.
Everyday habit that ruins your looks: Applying makeup
In the UK the average woman uses 12 beauty products a day, yet these beauty products could be ruining your looks rather than improving your appearance. When we apply our face creams, our expensive moisturisers and our foundation, most of us are guilty of doing so with our fingers. Although using your fingers is fine, how many of us clean our hands before doing so? Some of us may wash hands before applying makeup in the morning or the night, but not so many do so when they do the odd touch-up job.
This is bad news for our skin. Our fingers harbour bacteria and applying your products in this way causes bacteria to be transferred to you face, which can cause infection and spots. To prevent blemishes and still use your favourite beauty products make sure you use a hand sanitizer before applying your face creams or use makeup brushes.

Everyday habit that ruins your looks: Drinking water
Although drinking water can help improve the way we look by nourishing our skin, the way we actually drink can make us look terrible.  Using bottles or straws to drink is something most of us do every single day, but did you know that drinking through a bottle or straw can age our skin? Drinking in this way can give us the same lines and wrinkles around our mouths that smoking causes. If you want to stay looking young and wrinkle-free it’s time you bought a glass to get your daily water fix and ditched the bottles and the straws.
Everyday habit that ruins your looks: Talking to your friends
If talking was an Olympic sport, we’d all be gold medallists by now and although we love kicking back and relaxing on our phones and chatting to our friends, your skin doesn’t. Think about the places we leave our phones. We leave them on café tabletops, in the drinks holder of our car and on the seat in changing rooms. We leave our phones on shop countertops, we lend our phones to our friends and even leave them on the side in the public bathroom when we wash our hands.
When you think about your phone in this way, it’s not surprising that phones can cause spots and blemishes.  To combat this problem use antibacterial wipes and be a little bit more mindful where you leave your phone next time you’re out and about.

Everyday habit that ruins your looks: Washing your hair
If you want to look hot and feel good the very least you need to do is keep clean, right? Well, although basic hygiene is obviously a vital part of your beauty regime you have to choose your products carefully. Within most shampoos and hair conditioners you will find a foaming chemical called sodium laureth sulphate.
Although commonly used, this chemical can damage your hair, your skin and your health. The Hair Loss Control Clinic explain that sodium laureth sulphate can even cause your hair growth cycle to decline and suggest the chemical can prolong your hair loss phase. So to keep your hair thick and luscious, choose products that do not contain this chemical, like organic shampoos and conditioners.

...and the Dstysionist says, "Practise has no harm. If you cannot afford, you will still be pretty".
